We were exploring phenomenon of body, performance art scene, performers…(what
is performance and is there exist on our scene artist who did more than one,
two performance; in which form and function body appears today?)
during two and half months of collecting video materials of different performances,
we met many people, mostly artists, Eru Milivojevica, Nelu Antonovic, Milicu
Lapcevic, Branku Zgonjanin, Dobricu Kamperelica, Nikolu Sindika, Vladimira
Perica, Olgu Glisin, ljude iz remonta, muzeja savremene umetnosti, Jesu Denegrija,
Ivana Pravdica, Nadu Petronijevic Covic, Gabrijela Savica, Nenada Bogdanovica,
Vladana i Renu Jeremic.
We discovered many tendencies of performance art scene, mail-art, klokotrism,
fluxsus..
We archived this material on VHS tape because like this, available, does not
exist in any institution; Student Cultural Centre, known like institution
where first performance presented and where this project happened also does
not possessed available archive; this material is available
for all interested, just send a VHS tape.
In creating of performing
scene there are very few artists dealing with the performing art, all others
are usually evaluating in art and through this evolution they are researching
different media / like performance for example / in this evolution they made
one or two performances and start to work on something else (so we can create
new term / evolutional performance).
So there are two conclusions: firs that the exploring the phenomenon of performing
art is very difficult because of lack of authors that continuously create
in this field even there are many institutions dealing with performance or
artists or our history of performance from seventies / well known performing
artist such as Marina Abramovic is;
and second as in other better organized art systems, scenes, there exist just
interested individuals (artists);
This project was just
the showing of so called “scene”, artists, informing about the
performing art as a creation of totally different energy - direct contact
with public.
as a result, we invited a few authors that we meet during this project to
take part in our next action - “transformation05”.
This material will be stored as well in Ana Balint collection /archive as
a unique video archive about performing art from Serbia which is not finished
jet because there is more to explore.
